Le chant du dialogisme – Partition pour un entretien d’embauche

Le chant du dialogisme (Song of dialogism) is the first musical score in a forthcoming series entitled Partitions de travail (scores for work). For this long-term project, work is approached as economic activity, from its regulation to its organisational modalities, including power relationships and the processes of subjectivation that come into play in the various situations, constraints and individual and collective investments involved. 

These experimental scores have not however been written to be played by musicians or performers who come from elsewhere but by the teams of the places that host them. Le Chant du dialogisme – Partition pour un entretien d’embauche (Song of dialogism – Score for a job interview) was produced by and for the MMaintenant art centre in Saint-Denis. It was created on the occasion of the recruitment of a new team member, a production and communication officer. It is made up of two parts, played together – part A: candidate and part B: recruiter –, as well as a prelude, called ‘the recruiter’s prelude’, which consists in inserting the following phrase in the recruitment advert: “In place of a motivation letter, you will send the words of a song, which, according to you, reflect our contemporaneity”.
