Rumeur #2 (les grèves) (Rumour #2 (the strikes)) is a protocol activated on request. The work is only mentioned on the exhibition room plan in which the work is presented. When a visitor requests its activation of one of the members of staff, a phrase is whispered in the visitor’s ear, one single time. The content of the phrase varies from day to day. For the Flextime exhibition at the BBB art centre, its content is determined by the presence or otherwise of an article with the word ‘grève’ (strike) in its title, published that day in La Dépêche du Midi.
