Réduction d’activité

Réduction d’activité (Reduction in activity) consists of a protocol suggested to the exhibition venue in which the piece is presented, reconfiguring the opening times by reducing them each day by the same amount as on the previous day, so that the closing time comes earlier and earlier each day. For its first activation as part of the D’une main invisible exhibition at Salle Principale (from 20 May to 25 July 2015), an additional five minutes were subtracted on each working day. The total amount of time deducted during the period of the exhibition is, in return, cumulatively added to the value of the piece, from one activation to another, such that the more free time the piece produces, the more its value goes up.
