Fenêtre ouverte

In September 2021, the artist Marc Buchy invited me to participate in an exhibition project he was preparing with the curator Tiago de Abreu Pinto. The concept of the exhibition was to send participating artists an empty window envelope, asking them « to put something of their choice inside. It can be a text, a small object, an intervention on the paper or anything else… The only rule is that the envelope must be properly closed afterwards. Artists must be aware that the only way for future visitors to see their proposals will be through the windows of the envelopes. »

My contribution consists in sending back the window envelope received, leaving it empty but having removed the transparent film from the window and written on the back of the envelope the words « open window ».

The whole project was presented in an exhibition from October 14 to December 31, 2022 in the Jean Laude Library of the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Saint-Étienne Métropole.
