Rumeur #1 (la qualité de l’air) (Rumour #1 (air quality)) is a protocol activated on request. The work is only mentioned on the exhibition room plan in which the work is presented. When a visitor requests its activation of one of the members of staff, a phrase is whispered in the visitor’s ear, one single time. The content of the phrase varies from day to day; it is determined by the relationship between the official air quality readings for that day, the previous day and the forecast for the following day.
